That Girl Aesthetic

Disclaimer: This is just a place for me to yap and romanticize my life. This will be very unserious. I will share my thoughts as I please, and if you don't like or appreciate it, well, sorry friend and tootle-loo.

I don't really believe there is one true way to be "that girl". I think for myself it is simply becoming someone I am proud of and actually enjoying the life I live. I am tired of putting insane amounts of stress on myself when, quite frankly, it is not needed, so instead I am going to give myself a little grace. (And you probably should too, friend.) Perfection doesn't exist, but having moments of peace does. And I want to crave that peace more than the excitement of chaos. Being obsessed with chaos and disorder has brought me nothing but discomfort and bad skin.

In order to combat my obsession with chaos, I have started putting certain practices in place to protect my peace. The first is exercising with manifestation, sermons, positive affirmations, or something of that sort playing through my headphones and not my typical heavy metal or other intense music blaring through my ears. This keeps my exercise much more peaceful and keeps my head space brighter. Don't get me wrong the occasional Bring Me the Horizon song is still going to go so hard in the gym, but I recognize that is not always necessary.

What do you listen to when you work out?

The next chaos combatting technique is doing the dishes before I go to bed. This is random, but I found that when I wake up and have dishes in my sink my mood shifts. Instead of the peace of a clean kitchen I feel the immediate need to clean it before my day can truly start. This is very much a first world problem, almost all of my issues will be, remember the disclaimer. When certain items or places in my home are clean I feel clean. Don't know if that's an underlying issue, but oh well we move. Clean home, clean mind. That's how I feel at least.

Lastly for now I will combat being scared of going for it. This "blog" is so random and made just for myself to yap somewhere that doesn't exist in a random notebook in my bedroom, but on a platform somewhere that gives the chance for feedback. Is this a bad idea? Maybe. Am I finding this fun to do? Yes. Will I maybe delete this in three months because I can? Probably. Lol . For now, at least this is just evidence that I can do things I find scary and stick to it for a little while even if it's a bit silly.

After all that, my goal is to find my own "that girl aesthetic" and to put it into practice more and more to reach my dreams and goals. It's nice to just do things for funsies and not care so deeply about whether this truly matters or not. That will be the main part of my aesthetic: funsies. So for the other girlies here for funsies, I hope you get to do something fun this week that brings you joy, and hopefully you combat a little chaos for an ounce of peace.

Thanks for coming to the yap sesh,

J

Also, if you want to check out my Pinterest, I'll eventually add a link so you can see the same beautiful things I do. Maybe we can yap about it. The first pic above is my "partway through the year" vision board. Made on Canva, definitely on my Pinterest board. These are all dreams and goals for the year and just the future in general.
